Get rid of Pessimism Web

Optimism and Pessimism, these two words can make or destroy people. Optimistic in life crops up positivity and always lead to better and happy life. While pessimists always struggle.

winchurchquoteOur own confidence depends on our society and people who surrounds us. Wherever we go, pessimists follow us just like our own shadows. If our colleagues or friends are pessimists then it may make a dent on our confidence as well. The best part is, just ignore them and concentrate on our work.

I read a story about Robert Fulton.

Robert Fulton invented the steamboat.

English: Robert Fulton, holding a watch fob in...

On the banks of the Hudson River he was displaying his new inventions. The pessimists and the skeptics were gathered around to observe. They commented that it would never start. Low and behold, it did.

As it made its way down the river, the pessimists who said it would never go, started shouting, “It never would stop.”

What an attitude!

people-quoteHad Robert Fulton listened to his critics or had he caught in the web of pessimism, he wouldn’t have invented the steamboat.

It happens with all of us. Whenever we talk about new ideas, people raises their questions. Pessimists stand and start criticizing.

“You Will Never Reach Your Destination, If You Stop And Throw Stones At Every Dog That Barks. Better To Throw Biscuits And & Move On…”

Dhirubhai Ambani

Break this Pessimist barrier and move.

We must never respond to these situations or pessimism. Try your best to achieve your goals and change the world.

“When you have vision it affects your attitude. Your attitude is optimistic rather than pessimistic.”

Tough time makes you Strong

It was a summer noon and classroom was jam packed. Teacher was busy in showing the exam papers. She was calling the names of every student one by one and the student had to stand-up and she would speak the marks. Few students passed in her exam and few students (like me) failed.

DontStress

“Aviral”, she called my name irritatingly. As soon I stood up, she stared at me suspiciously like I just murdered someone.

She shouted, “Aviral you are failed.” She repeated this sentence twice. It dint pinch me when she spoke these words angrily. “Aviral, you simply can’t pass this academic year. You never concentrate in class.”

I dint utter a single word. She continued aiming relentless words at me. “Aviral, you are nothing and you are a GONE CASE… A GONE CASE (She repeated deliberately). You cannot do anything in life.”

This time it pinched me. I felt like someone has brutally stabbed knife in my heart. I broke down. I was shattered into pieces.

This is just one example. I have been criticised a lot in my whole life especially in my teenage days. Those days I used to ask myself, Why me? Like all kids, I was too a soft hearted and emotionally weak. I wouldn’t be lying if I say that thousands of times I found myself crying.

Was I really a weak person?

Yes I was and believe me I have cursed myself several times when I was immaturely young.

As the time passed by, fog of negativity in front of my eyes started lifting and things got much clearer. Things started becoming transparent from translucent.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. I was lucky and a blessed child as I faced such situations in my early ages. Had I not faced these tough conditions, I would have never learned from life and critics.

It made me stronger, strong like a rock. It made me mentally tough and a matured person. It taught me how to react in such conditions and especially how not to get outburst. I learned from my life and learned from others’ lives as well.

“We must accept finite disappointment but never lose infinite hope.”

– Martin Luthar King Jr.

We should never get upset or lose our confidence and faith from the tough times and especially from tough-to-handle people. They are temporary. It makes us strong not physically but most importantly mentally. We must learn to control our mind and heart. As I believe, emotions and sentiments are most important part and it must be kept preserved only for our loved ones.

I am still learning from my day to day life and now am very confident in handling such situations. I am thankful to god who made me strong at a very right time.

Just to Epitomise:

Never get disheartened or get panic from tough conditions and egoistic people. They teach us in a long learn. Always wear smile on your face no matter what problems you face. Think and be patient and act smartly.

Keep Smiling…. 🙂

Which category you come into?

People say, this world is full of millions of people with their mixed emotions. If I will ask you to categorize the types of people according to their emotions and the way they behave, how many categories will you draw?

Hundreds? Or thousands? Putting population in mind, may be billions.

If you will ask me to categorize into different categories, I will divide them in to just TWO categories. (Obviously I may be wrong as it depends on person to person.)

CategoryLets see.

According to me, there are 2 types of Person in this world….

  1. One who listens, other who speaks.
  2. One who understand and learn the Life lessons at right time, others whom Life teaches the lesson.
  3. One who learn from others Smartness, others who behave themselves as Smart.
  4. One who learn from others Mistakes, other who learn from their own Mistakes.
  5. One who enhances Satisfaction, others who enhances Frustration.
  6. One who don’t react to Critics and their Criticisms, others who overreact.
  7. One who controls Anger, others who get controlled by anger.
  8. One who Smile in every situations, others whose smile depends on their moods.
  9. One who enhances Positivity, others who suppress Positivity.
  10. One who accepts own Mistakes, others who Blame.

Finally, I can draw two categories, one I call it Mature-Optimist and other I call it Immature-Pessimist.

Which category you come into?

Keep Smiling.. 🙂

Take criticism with a grain of salt

Neither a person nor life is monotonous.  Life is full of peaks and valleys.  Peaks make you happy and give you confidence while valleys take your happiness, suck your confidence and leave you with a layer of sadness.

Criticism

Critics have a tendency to push us down into these valleys while loved ones and mentors will pull us up, like pulling a bucket of water from a well with a pulley.

When I was a kid, people in my society, teachers in my school and friends always criticised me. Though I was a cute looking kid like a teddy bear, unfortunately, I received hatred, bad mouthing and disrespect especially from elders and my teachers.

Was I doing something wrong or did they see something ambiguous in my character? I had no idea and at that point in my life I never thought about it but in my heart and soul I was crestfallen, demoralized and thrashed.I felt like a cactus in a garden of flowers.

I wasn’t aware of Criticism.

No one on this earth has remained untouched from it.  Today or tomorrow everyone is going to face this.  I entered too early into the world of criticism.

But today I realize that those days made me mentally tough, strong and gave me enough strength to face any level of criticism. I started taking it with a grain of salt. I was and am lucky to get a chance to face the critics.Today I take it with a smiling face.

“I know how to make decisions and stand up to the

criticism every day.“

Michael Bloomberg

We must always try to filter out the negative and search for positive points.  Even diamonds are found in coal mines. Similarly, if scrutinized these irrelevant and piercing criticisms will yield positive feedback and this feedback can make our lives unbelievable and inspirational.  It pumps positivity and rejuvenate us.

Believe me, it would be a great learning experience for us going forward.  Even at valleys we will know the path towards peaks.

My favorite, always wear a smile on your face and most importantly always respect these critics rather than disrespecting them.  These are vital parts of our lives as it indicates our upward growth in life and career. It gives us feedback but it totally depends if we perceive them in a positive or negative way.

If you take it in a positive way, two things will happen:

First, it will enhance our mistakes which we can rectify and develop ourselves.  And second, it will be our win.

If taken positively, it nourishes us.Take it constructively rather than destructively.

But if taken otherwise, trust me, we are on the way to destruction.

“Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.”

Dale Carnegie

Finally, I will end by saying, welcome your critics with a smile and rejuvenate your life.

Keep Smiling.. 🙂
